We are happy to announce that health insurance members of UnitedHealth Group subsidiary Optum are now able to utilize their managed behavioral health care services at the New England Recovery Center (NERC). As a result, more individuals in need of services can access NERC’s full continuum of care, including inpatient detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient services and medication-assisted treatment. The entities that fall under this agreement include Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC), UnitedHealthcare (UHN), ConnectiCare (CtCare) and Health Plans Incorporated (HPI), a subsidiary of HPHC.
For nearly 50 years, Spectrum Health Systems has helped thousands of individuals and families overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Spectrum has grown to offer the largest and most comprehensive continuum of care in New England, now serving more than 5,000 individuals each day.
In 2015, Spectrum launched the New England Recovery Center, an innovative inpatient addiction treatment program for commercially insured and private pay clients.
